Instructions
  1. boil sliced squash in salted water until tender. Drain the water from the squash and mash.
  2. Add cheese and butter to squash - leave a little of the cheese to sprinkle on top of the casserole.
  3. Beat the egg. Add the milk and the egg to the squash.
  4. Crush crackers and mix into the casserole.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Bake in a shallow casserole dish at 350 degrees until browned.
